Trying to use HPSMH but none of the features show up. Get the following message.
'Install the latest version of HP Insight Management WBEM Providers and/or HP Insight management Agents from HP Service Pack for ProLiant (HP SPP)' fair enough. Downloaded the latest version of HP SPP. Extracted it and found the related CP for HP Insight Management WBEM Providers which is cp020347.
Tried to install it and it gave the followign error: 'The installation procedure did not complete successfully. An error occurred during the setup process. You may look at the setup log file for more details if desired. Press the 'Close' button to exit Setup' Fair enough. Found the logs under C: cpqsystem log cpqsetp.txt file. This is what it said about the aborted install.

BTW, i am trying to install version 9. Free Download Install Hp Laserjet P1005. 5.0.0 which is the latest on the support site. Server is a DL160se G6 server. Same problem here. I am running two different ML350p Gen8 with Windows 2008 R2 SP1.
On both machines I can install the WBEM providers version 9.4.0.0 but I cannot install version 9.5.0.0. I tried the following approaches: • downloaded cp020347 and manual installation • downloaded cp020347, extracted the contents and manual installation • Installation via Version Control Agent and local Version Control Repository All approaches failed with the very same error message: Executing MSI.Failed!

Circling back to add to my prior answer. Run the MSI installers for the two MS C++ first via extract then go back and run the original EXE (cp020347.exe). I had multiple failures and it seemed to be the second MS MSI (Visual C++ 2012 RTM Runtime Library DLLs (x64/release)) failing before the WEBM MSI got called.
