I recently was digging around in the shop at work and found a box containing most of the pieces of an old HPI Nitro RS4-2 car. Almost all the car is there except the radio transmitter, and a few screws, how ever the engine is locked slam up and torn apart. Not a real big deal since the.15 FE was junk to begin with.
I was planning on putting a half decent.15-.18 engine and a basic radio set in the car, throwing a body on it and having fun, I mean I have nothing invested in the car right now so I wont mind spending a little bit of money on it. Now I know this car is old and may not seem worth fixing to some of you, but this thing was abused like no tommorrow by its previous owner from what I can tell and I kinda want to get it back into its former glory. I used to mess around with the RS4's when they were still the newest and greatest thing and I'm pretty used to being able to go anywhere to find parts. Now it seems like everything has been discontinued, which is no real surprise to me, but is making finding basic parts difficult at best. I'm wanted to know where I can get parts for this old car from. Basically I'm looking for all the belts, a new front bumper plate, body mounts for the front and rear, and prolly some other random little bits that I'm sure I'll find when I tear the car all the way down. Are there any companies that still offer hop-up parts for these old cars?

He asked if I wanted an old rs4 he had. SURE I said, bring it buy. And he did and it was one complete car and 3/4 of another one. And 5 servos, belts, a radio.
Tons of parts still clipped to there plastic molds. The complete car was beat to all hell and never cleaned. But the car that was half apart had a mint chassis plate so I tore them both down and used the best parts to make the car that I run now. She is abeauty and i love it so much, it is now my favorite RC. Its all set up for drift and runs perfect with its original motor.Iwouldn't trade it for anything.keep them old rc's going just don't beat on them too much. Great job on thethread.
He's bought a Mini RS4 nitro from an American friend (without the manual). There are so many RS4's I'm not sure which reference it is. Hi, I have a question regarding these older belt driven models. I friend of mine gave me a few of his cars; all RS4s: -RS4 3 SS (manual included) -RS4 belt driven 2 speed transmission, missing engine. -RS4 belt driven single speed transmission, 15 engine. How do I find out what models the two belt driven ones are?
